Position Title:  Clinical Nurse Consultant - Diabetes Educator

 

Location:  Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service, Thursday Island 

 

Remuneration: Comprising salary between $139,951 - $151,949 per annum employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%)

 

Temporary Full-Time | Immediate start up to 30 June 2028 (with the possibility of extension)

The Clinical Nurse Consultant – Diabetes Educator provides clinical leadership across the Torres Strait Northern Sector of Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service, supporting diabetes management under the Torres Model of Care.

 

This role focuses on improving outcomes for people living with chronic disease through coordinated, evidence-based care. You'll work closely with Midwifery Group Practice midwives to support women with diabetes in pregnancy and provide services across Thursday Island and Outer Island Primary Healthcare Centres to ensure consistent, high-quality care across the region.
