IDF-WPR 2026 & ADC 2026 & Metabolic Diseases 2026

The International Diabetes Federation Western Pacific Region (IDF–WPR) Congress 2026 will be held in partnership with the Australasian Diabetes Congress (ADC) and Metabolic Diseases 2026.

 

Co-hosted by the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA), the Australian Diabetes Society (ADS), and Diabetes Australia (DA), this biennial congress brings together representatives from 38 countries and territories across the Western Pacific Region.​

Approximately 250 international and Australasian speakers will contribute to the program across six thematic streams:

  • Living with Diabetes

  • Diabetes Education and Quality Improvement

  • Metabolic Diseases 2026: Discovery Science

  • Epidemiology, Public Health and Policy

  • Diabetes Complications

  • Clinical Diabetes Management and Therapeutics​

 

For ADEA members, Credentialled Diabetes Educators (CDEs) and the wider diabetes health workforce, this is a chance to engage with ideas, priorities and perspectives shaping diabetes care in Australia, across the Western Pacific region and globally.

Early bird registrations remain open until 30 June 2026.

Connecting with ADEA through Congress

IDF-WPR & ADC 2026 is also an opportunity to connect with the broader diabetes education and multidisciplinary care community across Australia and the Western Pacific region.
 

Healthcare professionals attending the Congress may wish to explore ADEA membership, with discounted registration rates available for eligible members through the Congress registration process.

ADEA member rates currently provide savings of up to:

  • $200 on full registrations

  • $100 on student registrations

  • $100 on one-day registrations

  • $50 on student one-day registrations

Additional savings are also available during the Early Bird registration period.
