Become an ADEA Member

ADEA membership delivers support, practical value, and a trusted professional network to help you at every stage of your career. From building the skills needed to earn your credential to finding professional mentoring and staying connected with the latest diabetes technologies and research.

Member Benefits

Becoming an ADEA member means joining a community dedicated to a shared mission: to empower people with the knowledge and tools they need to live well with diabetes. Many of our members are Credentialled Diabetes Educators (CDEs), who are at the very front of diabetes care in Australia.

who are specialists in diabetes education, empowering people living with diabetes to manage their condition effectively and improve their quality of life.

Credentialled Diabetes Educators are recognised by the Australian Government and various private health providers, demonstrating their trusted status within the healthcare system. This recognition allows for Medicare and Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) rebates, making your services more accessible to a wider range of clients. Once credentialled, you will also be eligible to be listed on ADEA's "Find a CDE" registry, a widely used tool for the public to find qualified diabetes educators in their area, which can help grow your practice and increase your visibility.
