Member Benefits 

Access to The Australian Diabetes Educator (ADE) public: A quarterly online publication produced for members of the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA). ​

Full access to Diabetes Connekt: an online platform for health professionals in Australia who deliver and teach, or are aspiring to deliver and teach, diabetes education and care. The platform allows you to connect, share information and knowledge, and learn.

 

​​​​Member Portal of ADEA: provides comprehensive resources through our education hub. This includes a variety of learning modules, webinars, podcasts, and microcredentials, all designed to enhance your professional development. Each of these educational tools awards Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points and certificates. Additionally, microcredentials come with badges to recognise your achievements.

Eligibility to become a CDE

Bronze member have access to the credentialling pathway to becoming a Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE).

Bronze (full) ADEA members are healthcare professionals who dedicate significant time to providing diabetes education and management.

You must have completed a GRADUATE CERTIFICATE in Diabetes Education and Management to be a Bronze member. If you have not completed the Graduate Certificate, you are able to join as an Associate Member.  

Types of Memberships

Student 

The ADEA Student Membership is open to anyone enrolled in a health-related degree. This opportunity allows students to engage with our community while pursuing a healthcare career. Members enjoy access to educational resources and networking opportunities, with the option to upgrade for initial credentialling when ready.

Cost: $139 for 12 months. 

Associate

The ADEA Associate Membership is for healthcare professionals practicing in fields outside diabetes education, as well as those in general care settings interested in diabetes. This membership offers valuable networking opportunities and discounts on ADEA events and publications.

​

Cost: $344 (membership fee of $207.00 and a one-off joining fee of $137.00). The annual renewal fee is $207.00 incl GST.

Bronze

The ADEA Bronze Membership offers access to a comprehensive range of educational resources and the credentialling pathway to becoming a Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE). Members also benefit from discounts on conference registrations and educational materials, enhancing their professional development in diabetes education.

Cost: $471(membership fee of $334.00 and a one-off joining fee of $137.00).

The annual renewal fee for full ADEA members is $334.00 incl GST.​
