Join us as a Diabetes Educator and help deliver person centred, culturally responsive diabetes support across our communities.
About the role
As a key member of our Primary Health Team, you will:
Deliver high quality diabetes education to individuals, families, and groups
Provide outreach services to rural and remote communities
Build strong partnerships with GPs, Aboriginal Health Services and other stakeholders
Support clients through coordinated, multidisciplinary care
Mentor students and contribute to best-practice models
Use your expertise to improve accessibility and health outcomes for priority populations

What you'll bring
Tertiary qualification in nursing, dietetics, podiatry, pharmacy, or exercise physiology
AHPRA registration (or eligibility)
Graduate Certificate in diabetes education (or willingness to obtain)
ADEA credentialling (or working towards it)
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across cultures
Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Excellent organisational and digital skills
Current driver's licence
Desirable
Experience in rural health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, telehealth, health promotion or research.
