The Minister for Health and Ageing, Nicola Roxon, announced the early commencement of a pilot of the Coordinated Care for Diabetes reform. The Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) continues to host an Annual Scientific Meeting in conjunction with the Australian Diabetes Society (ADS) attracting in excess of 1,000 health care professionals from Australia and overseas. The Kellion Lecturer is the premier award speaker at the Annual Scientific Meeting and other forums and activities promotes the exchange of the latest clinical practices and cutting edge research in diabetes in form of lectures, free communication sessions and clinical, scientific and educational symposia.
