ADC Registration and Travel Assistance Grants

ADEA-Novonordisk ADC Registration Assistance Grants and ADEA- Pharmaco Travel Grants contribute to being able to attend ADC2022. All eligible members are encouraged to apply.

Credentialled Diabetes Educators (CDEs) or those who are working towards becoming a CDE, can claim CPD points for attending ADC2022.

The ADC-Registration Assistance Grants program is financially supported by Novonordisk.

The ADC-Travel Grants program is financially supported by Pharmaco.

 

Conditions of funding

There are 15 x registration assistance grants to be awarded, which will cover 50% of the early bird registration cost.

Travel grants of $1,000 will be available to 5 x ADEA members who are living/working in a regional, rural or remote part of Australia to contribute to their travel expenses to attend the ADC.
• The grant is to be used only to contribute to your registration to the ADC, economy airfares, ground transport, tickets to networking events and accommodation.
• Applicants need to identify if they have received a grant from any other body to attend the ADC or a meeting in association with the ADC.

Prizes are non-transferrable or redeemable for cash.

Selection criteria

The applicant must demonstrate the following:

  1. Difficulty attending ADC2022 without receiving the ADC Grant
  2. Benefits of attending ADC2022 for their current practice in diabetes education and genuine interest in learning and development
  3. Active participation in ADC2022 by presenting, chairing a session, etc. (optional)

Selection process

A review committee comprised of three/four ADEA members will review all applications against the eligibility and selection criteria. The committee will forward their recommendations to the CEO who will endorse the successful applicants.

  • Applicants must not have received a Travel Grant or Registration Assistance Grant from ADEA to attend ADEA conferences, i.e. ADC or Branch Conferences, in the previous two years.
  • Applicants must not have received a grant from any other body as assistance to attend ADC2022 or a meeting held in association with ADC2022.
  • Applicants must not have received financial support from ADEA through various activities, i.e. Case Study Competition, CDE of the Year, in the previous two years.
  • Evidence of active participation in ADC2022, if any, i.e. submitted abstracts, symposium presenters or participation in ADEA committees or special interest groups, will support your application (optional).
