I have had the privilege of a varied and exciting nursing career over the past twenty years, having held a number of positions during my tenure as a nurse. Having cut my teeth as a ward nurse, I have had many opportunities to develop my skill set through Management, Education and Consultancy roles across these years.
I have been working in the field of Diabetes since 2011, I completed my Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education through Deakin University and am currently working with the Central Coast Local Health District Diabetes Care team. This role enables provision of service across the spectrum of diabetes care – from Inpatient to Community across all age spectrums, individual consultations to group sessions. I am very passionate about what I do, having completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology prior to my nursing career, I have a particular interest in the psychological aspects of chronic disease management and care.
I am passionate about quality diabetes care, positive engagement with my patients and am excited to contribute to the profession through this role within the NSW Branch.
