Professional development opportunities
The ADEA, along with its partner organisation, the Australian Diabetes Society (ADS) hosts an Annual Scientific Meeting bringing world experts in a range of disciplines together to share research and treatment options for diabetes. This is a great opportunity for diabetes educators and diabetes specialists to network, learn and share their work on professional and clinical issues. Registration fees are subsidised by ADEA and the ADS. Registration is further discounted for ADEA members who have full ADEA membership.
Branch annual conferences are held in states and territories throughout the year, providing an opportunity to share and update your knowledge and meet other professionals working in the field.
The ADEA conducts an accreditation program for post graduate diabetes education courses and for professional development activities and events in the specialty field of diabetes education. Accreditation is an assurance to our members that the courses and professional development activities will meet professional standards, expectations and the needs of CDE.
