Our standards of practice

The Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) is Australia’s peak professional association representing diabetes educators and other health care professionals providing service to people living with, or at risk of, diabetes and their families and carers. ADEA sets standards for diabetes educators and the practice of diabetes education. The aim of these standards is to promote equitable access to quality diabetes education service to ensure optimal health and well being for all people affected by, and at risk of, diabetes.

Code of Conduct

This document provides an ethical framework for practice. It sets out the appropriate behaviour expected of Credentialled Diabetes Educators (CDEs), diabetes educators and other ADEA members.
