Professor Trisha Dunning AM, Chair in Nursing and Director of Nursing and Allied Health Research Deakin University and Barwon Health, has been a prolific and inspirational writer for the Australian Diabetes Educator. Since 2006 Trisha has authored an article on Complementary Therapies in each edition of the ADEA. The articles range from a summary of available resources; how to access and assess information; understanding safety and risk issues; and critiques of specific therapies, such as the role of certain herbs and spices in diabetes management.
From a long held passion for holistic evidence based individualised care these articles use a quality use of medicines framework to give you a summary of the role of complementary therapies in diabetes management.
The ADEA is proud to bring you a compilation of these articles.
